We were a team of six people in Victoria only, as we closed our small office in Sydney. I knew little about how to run a successful wine distribution business, but I felt I knew a hell of a lot about wineries and what they wanted from their distributors. At the age of 24 with no knowledge of wine, I jumped at the opportunity to move into the families new winery and try to make my own mark. He and his brothers went on to operate a chain of grocery and liquor stores across Melbourne. I love wine and what I do ~ so many passionate people, all working together is the only way to create success. Our team leaders are based throughout Australia, we don’t have a head office.
She has spent the last few years travelling to different wine regions and working vintages around the world and Australia. She has worked in California, Tasmania, Vancouver Island, the Yarra Valley and most recently here on the Mornington Peninsula. The Mogg and Wadewitz families grew interested in this area after experiencing Henty on weekend sojourns through the Victorian countryside. We spent our nights hatching a plan to bring our expression of Henty wines to life.
