Several ferries per day depart for Green Island from Fugang Harbor just north of Taitung City. This attraction is definitely off-the-beaten-track for international travelers. They offer free pick-up from Luye train station, but communication could be difficult. The grounds include a café, restaurant, organic 台東 伴手 farms, cultural displays, and gorgeous scenery, but the highlight is the dance performances. These take place twice a day, and only if there are enough people, so it’s better to come on the weekend and call first to confirm . Luye (鹿野) is one of my favorite places to spend the night along Highway 9.
Incense is a big part of daily ceremonial offerings for Balinese people, and burning and waving incense symbolizes the presence of Gods and spirits. Balinese art consists of intricate, colorful, highly detailed paintings 台東伴手禮推薦 of nature, animals, religious motifs, and the beautiful Balinese people. Though goods range from bedsheets to robes and are as shiny as they are soft, authentic silk can get expensive, depending on quantity.
Very expensive but the fish and chips are delicious. However the fishburger was by far one of the worst I have ever had. I'd suggest to get rid of that alcoholic sauce in it and replace it with tartar sauce or mayo or anything edible really. XinFuyuan peanut butter has a dense taste and insists on the production process without adding a drop of water. The peanut butter necessary for breakfast and the delicious peanut butter egg roll are definitely a good choice for gift giving.
Hailed as “Taiwan’s Most Beautiful Wild Hot Spring”, Lisong Hot Spring is a sodium bicarbonate hot spring hidden deep in a canyon near the alpine region of the Southern Cross-Island Highway. They may be ornamental if you don’t read Cyrillic, but we just love old books! Bulgarians love to read and you can find a great stash of used books all over Bulgarian cities.
The difficulty of travelling to this hinterland of Taiwan has turned Taitung into a reclusive haven, like a lonely island within an island nation. Trains run along the seacoast, with the high mountains on one side and the vast ocean on another providing the most intoxicating scenery on this part of the round-the-island railway. In the Taimali and Jinlun river basins you’ll also find a number of hot springs. Arrange a short in-depth indigenous village trip to experience life in these small villages and enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people.

I highly recommend you and your friends consider this restaurant when you visit Taitung. For day 1, we strategically grouped the most popular attraction, National Museum of Prehistory, with surrounding point of interests to start your trip off with a bang.
In the East Rift Valley, Luye Longtian Bike Trail 鹿野龍田自行車道 traverses tea plantations, pineapple fields, Japanese style architecture and even a green tunnel. For cyclists who do not want to venture too far, the Taitung City Loop is great for a half day cycling trip. This 21 km path is also known as Taitung Shanhai trail, which means mountain and ocean trail as mesmerising scenery of mountains and the sea unfold during the ride. There are many other cycling trails like the scenic Chishang trail and challenging routes on Green and Orchid islands for those looking for a challenge.
Among them, red oolong is also a very representative specialty product . Many people say that once you have tasted the red oolong in Taitung you can’t tolerate less. Many star-rated hotels also use the red oolong tea by Fun Tea Garden. There is also a combination of tea bags if you want to be more convenient, so that you can enjoy good tea anytime, anywhere. Taichung is a big city of pastries, and there are also many old shops!
When visiting Chishang, make sure to take in the scenery of endless paddy fields. Each year, May-June and November-December are harvest times; during these periods, a vast sea of golden-brown rice stalks can be seen swaying in the wind. In winter, after the rice harvest, the fields are full of Garden cosmos and rape seed flowers. Located beside the Guanshan Police Bureau of the Taitung County Police Department, this Japanese-style wooden building exudes an air of history. This temple on Zhonghua Road enshrines the Holy Heavenly Mother . Believers include different ethnic groups such as Taiwanese, mainland Chinese, Hakka, and members of the indigenous Pingpu and Amis tribes.
It safeguards the well-preserved remains of the Beinan culture, known for their jade production from 2500 to 300 BC. The park features geological formations along the coast and offers insights into the indigenous people of the area through its museum and informative exhibits. Visitors can explore the park's scenic surroundings and visit the moon monolith via a bridge. Taitung City, located on the southeast coast of Taiwan, is a destination rich in history and natural beauty. The Peinan Cultural Park showcases Neolithic slate coffins and relics such as pottery and jade stones at the National Museum of Prehistory.
Perhaps most importantly, there are very few functioning bathrooms in the entire airport. I heard that the starry sky is beautiful at night. Beautiful relaxing hot springs, surrounded by mountains.
I bought some tea, hot sauce and a few other souvenirs. This place is super scenic and I highly recommend anyone visiting Taitung to stop here. There are no shops but there are toilets at this scenic view point. Bring some coins if you want to buy something from the vending machine here. Because of the terrain and the types of rocks, it is also known as Xiaoyeliu.
