The Pacific Northwest Trail meanders along the coastline for miles and miles through a pristine landscape with gorgeous ocean views. Devil’s Punchbowl is a 2.4-mile out-and-back hike on a mostly paved trail. Most of the hike is along Lake Crescent’s shoreline so that you can enjoy its serene beauty almost every step of the way. That means you need another day to travel to and from the park. Ideally, that day will also give you time to get settled with groceries and accommodations. The following morning is when your 3 days in Olympic National Park itinerary really begins. I recommend downloading your directions because some areas are so remote your phone will not have a signal.
The trail from Port Townsend approaches along east edge of the parking area. The trail to the south descends at a moderate grade from the trailhead, and then rises slightly and falls again within 0.75 miles of the parking area. It is then relatively level south for another 1.5 miles. The trail then turns east along Douglas Wy, where it descends toward S.

Named for Mount Olympus, deemed fit to be the home of gods, Olympic National Park seems a likely spot for deities to settle. It has luminous peaks, lush rain forests, and a stretch of wild beaches, all contained on a peninsula across the water from Seattle. Blue Spruce Meadow – this quiet and comfortable house is near plenty of the Olympic Coast’s best attractions – rivers, hiking trails, beaches, and more! Quinault Lake is located in Quinalt Valley, which was carved by a glacier. This is a gorgeous place to stay in Olympic National Park.
They were so fine cut that the spirals were almost impossible to get onto the fork. There was another group of about 8-10 and a couple in the restaurant for lunch. You can rent a small log cabin, a room at the motel, or an A-frame chalet along the waterfront. If you make the five-mile hike to the lighthouse, take a tour, offered daily from 9 am to 5 pm by volunteers of the New Dungeness Light Station Association. I have ordered the California salmon bowl several times from them. It is normally good, but this time my bowl's missing the avocado and the mayonnaise. Their service and food are usually great; I guess this time around I was just unlucky.

Olympic National Park only allows pets on a handful of trails, but there are many stunning, dog friendly hikes on the Olympic Peninsula. Ted’s favorite trails in the area were as follows. If you’re doing any hiking, you will want to make sure you stay well-hydrated. And if you’re traveling in winter, you should plan just in case you get stranded on the road up or down. You can then fill up your water bottle at the Visitor Center if you need more water. It’s easy to carry, keeps temperatures well, and comes in multiple colors.
Olympic Lodge – Located in Port Angeles, this is a perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a bit of luxury when exploring. They have a number of cosy  rooms available, a beautiful location, a swimming pool and even a restaurant on site. Rialto Beach is the park’s most accessible and popular, and from here, you can take a short hike about two miles to a picturesque rock formation known as Hole-in-the-Wall. The Sol Duc Hot Springs is family-friendly and includes changing rooms, restaurants, cabins, and lodge rooms if you’d like to stop for the night. There are also hiking trails in this area of the park, including a route to Marymere Falls or The Moments in Time Nature Trail.

First Beach is technically not inside Olympic National Park – it is part of the Quileute Indian Reservation – but is widely considered one of the best beaches Olympic Peninsula has. Anyone who may have had possible contact with a bat, is advised to contact their healthcare provider or the local health department. According to park officials, there have been no known reports of human contact with the bat. This was a day after a bat was reported to be "vocalizing and having difficulty flying in the area."
Maccas is just down the stairs won't be returning to this oportos again. We've been here before last year and also when it was a kaiten sushi place. Thought I would drop in again to support a small local business! Unfortunately we went in during a normal dinner time when there were only 2 tables of people and got completely ignored at the front for 10 minutes. Eventually we left and went across the street to Shiroi Orange and had a much better experience.
