The East Coast National Scenic Area, known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land”, stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island.
Plan to spend at least three days on the island so that you can soak up the vibes, do some snorkeling or diving, and see all of the island’s iconic sights. While Taitung City serves as the main gateway to 台東市區伴手禮 beautiful Taitung County, you should know that the city itself is quite boring. There are several unique places within the city’s borders, but most of Taitung’s best attractions are along Route 9 and 11.

There are still neighborhoods that are largely aboriginal with their own celebrations and unique attributes. One thing that is relatively sparse however, are seven-elevens. All this surrounded by miles of quiet rice fields and orchards.
With others adopting a local to explore the village in depth. Soon we were saying our farewells and returning to our Zodiacs to rejoin theSpirit of Enderby. Immediately, we heard the endemic Malaita White-eye and a few seconds later spotted the first one, which flew into a tree directly above us and sang  a surprisingly musical song. We saw a few more Malaita White-eyes during the morning, but the species was not common in the area. Very friendly hostel, very clean dorms with A/C and hot showers. Be aware that the hostel is not "always" open (e.g., it may be closed at 4pm when you want to check in!). A corner snack shop with a small variety of local and imported beers in tall bottles.

The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Taitung Railway Station. First introduced at a famed bakery in Taichung, and later modified to its thick round-disc shape. Soon, other bakeries began to make their own Sun Cakes as well.
Not actually a hostel but a hotel, it is a affordable, clean and conveniently located downtown.
