Following the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, our kindy program helps children grow across five key learning areas and get ready for prep with early literacy, numeracy and science skills. Designed for children from birth to 5 years, KU long day care services provide safe, supportive and enriching environments where your child can learn, grow and thrive. Our Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program provides a rich learning play-based environment led by our wonderful, qualified Kindy Teachers.
These services operate in purpose-built or adapted learning spaces and are typically open long hours on weekdays, making them a popular choice for working families. We support working families to care for children from six weeks to kindergarten age, supporting their development by tailoring activities to each child’s interests and introducing new challenges. Our long day care service provides a supportive 4 year old kinder oakleigh environment where young children explore, grow and build essential communication, social and emotional skills. In a long day care service, there is the option for children to attend for longer hours and to receive care outside the regular kindergarten program.

They ensure that the program delivered to children is based on an approved learning framework and also ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of children at the service. It’s important that you continue to enrol eligible children in Early Start Kindergarten (ESK) at your service. This helps service providers receive their full funding entitlement and ensures these children have access to 15 funded hours of kindergarten across Victoria.
Under one daily fee, families can access an approved kindergarten program for longer hours, complete with access to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for eligible families.
