In Victoria, 3 and 4-year-old children are able to access a funded Kindergarten program led by a Bachelor Qualified Teacher. If eligible, your child will be able to participate in the government-approved Kindergarten program, at no cost, up to a minimum of 15 hours child care pakenham per week, 40 weeks per year. Our Montessori program is designed to encourage independence, hands-on learning, and critical thinking. We provide a carefully prepared environment where children can explore at their own pace, developing confidence and problem-solving skills. Indoors, our purpose-built space encourages exploration and development with natural resources and abundant light. Most of our multicultural team has been with us for over five years, with one early childhood teacher serving for ten years. Our Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers who deliver a Government-approved Kindergarten program that prepares children for school. Children also enjoy extracurricular activities like music and yoga as part of their daily fee. The 4/5 year old Discovery Program is a government-recognised kindergarten program. As part of the program, children join the Early Explorers (bush kinder) spend three hours of uninterrupted play on College grounds, using what nature has provided as learning materials. The program is based on the ‘forest preschool’ approach, originally established over 50 years ago in Scandinavia and now an international movement. Our educational team partners with families to support each child’s development. Learning is fostered through natural curiosity and interests and children are involved in decision-making. Our centre is next door to Edenbrook Secondary College and John Henry Primary school where we also run an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service.
